LIV KRISTINE's career as a full time composer and artist began in Norway in the 90s, when she became the first female singer in the gothic metal scene. The greatest inspiration for her compositions and lyrics has always been the supernatural, dark romance, and the beauty of nature and poetry. LIV KRISTINE's new creation "Libertine" is a milestone in her career. All of her artistic experiences of her creative journey are combined in this album. Her own lyrics and melodies are outstanding and the result of her enormous live and studio experience. After her successful co-operations with male singers such as Nick Holmes (Paradise Lost) or John Kelly (Kelly Family, Elfenthal), Liv has now recorded a duet ("Vanilla Skin Delight") with Tobias Regener - the gold and platinum awarded singer of "Deutschland such den Superstar". "Libertine" was produced at Mastersound Studio by Alexander Krull and was released on September 7th, 2012.
LIV KRISTINE's musical achievements are countless. For example, a Grammy Award nomination for the song "Nymphetamine" (a cooperation with Cradle of Filth), 500.000 sold copies with her former band Theatre of Tragedy, concerts in more than 40 countries and four continents, several hits in the official charts with Theatre of Tragedy and her later band Leaves' Eyes, and solo albums. Furthermore, high rankings in European club, DJ, dance, rock, and alternative charts. Liv also made the title track for the popular TV series such as "Tatort" and "Schimanski" and her songs were used for Germany's most popular soap "Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten" and Heidi Klum's "Germany's next Topmodel".
