Originally released in 1972, this essential 25-track collection includes 'Not Fade Away', 'It's All Over Now', 'The Last Time', 'Lady Jane', 'Dandelion', 'She's a Rainbow', 'Have You Seen Your Mother Baby', 'Standing in the Shadow?', 'Out of Time', 'Tell Me', and 'We Love You'.
The rarities include their debut single 'Come On' from 1963, early R&B covers of 'Fortune Teller' and 'Bye Bye Johnnie', the amazing slide guitar on Muddy Waters' 'I Can't Be Satisfied' (recorded at Chess Studios and presented here in stereo), and the heartfelt B-side 'Long Long While' from 1966 in the UK. Also included is the stereo version of the psychedelic B-side 'Child Of The Moon', which was previously only available in mono until its release in 1972.
This unique new packaging includes:
- Miniature replica of the LP packaging from the original gatefold, printed on golden meheightic cardboard
- Miniature replica of the printed inner sleeves
- Miniature replica of a set of embossed lithographs featuring photographs by Gered Mankowitz
- Replica of the Japanese Obi strip
- Mastering by Bob Ludwig, Gateway Mastering
- Limited Edition.
