In 2022, DIETH caused a stir in the metal scene when the newly formed band released their debut single 'In The Hall of the Hanging Serpents' in the middle of the year. After a quiet period for the individual musicians, Grammy Award-winning bassist David Ellefson (ex-Megadeth), drummer Michał Łysejko (ex-Decapitated), and Swedish Grammy-nominated guitarist and singer Guilherme Miranda (ex-Entombed A.D.) joined forces to create a death thrash alliance that impressed both fans and media alike.

On June 2, 2023, the highly anticipated debut album, To Hell And Back, will finally be released. To Hell And Back represents a fresh start in all aspects - lyrically, musically, and of course, personally, for the musicians themselves. Produced, mixed, and mastered independently by Tomasz Zed Zalewski at Zed Studios in Chechło, Poland, DIETH has left behind the previous genre stereotypes and now sets new, unique accents. Relentless death metal with tech elements meets rapid thrash attacks, all while introducing Ellefson's debut as a lead singer on one of the ten tracks.

The title track of the album introduces listeners to the universe of To Hell And Back with an acoustic intro before an unrestrained death metal storm emerges, dominated by thundering guttural vocals. With furious drums, deep grooving bass, innovative riffs, and intricate solos, the trio showcases their skills and delivers an intense sonic battle cry. Tracks like 'Dead Inside' and 'Don't Get Mad ... Get Even!' embrace DIETH's thrashy side, while death metal anthems like 'Wicked Disdain' and 'The Mark of Cain' impress with intense solos and breakneck rhythms. 'Free Us All' plays with the album's tempo, combining quieter passages with booming bass and psychedelic influences. Conversely, 'Heavy Is The Crown' progresses slower, driven by a Stoner Metal groove, and catapults listeners into other realms with its swaying chorus and bluesy solo. In the melancholic ballad 'Walk With Me Forever,' David Ellefson, with his strong vocal debut as a lead vocalist, explores the possibility of drawing strength from the loss of a loved one. The intense 'Severance' concludes To Hell And Back, emphasizing that DIETH is not just a side project or another supergroup, but rather represents the reincarnation of three renowned Heavy Metal forces.
