Behemoth was birthed in Poland in 1991 as the brainchild of the band’s mastermind and founder, Nergal. The band’s progression over the years went from early demos and studio recordings with deep black metal roots and ambient elements to brutal extreme metal. With compositions that were grimmer than frost and masterful songwriting and execution that became evident with each new release, it branded its own mark on the world of metal, proudly raising the Polish sensation to the top of the extreme metal world.
