Germany's most morbid hit factory is back!

The Thuringian masters of the macabre present themselves in top form on their 16th studio album 'Grenzgänger' and raise the bar in extreme metal with 17 new songs.

There was a lot of work done at EISREGEN and the new album was conceived as a successor to the 2020 top 10 chart success 'Leblos' and the 2021 split album with Goatfuneral, 'bitterböse' (ranked 12th in the German album charts), right from the outset to be a double album in order to provide a worthy framework for all the new song ideas and morbid tales.

LP 1 of the album offers 12 songs, including future classics like the harsh-brutal 'In Einzelteilen', which combines brutal death/grind with extremely catchy parts; 'Für den Kaiser', a very unique song about the time of the gladiators from the perspective of a first-person narrator; the hit 'Wiedergänger', which was released as a single in advance, as an album edit, and numerous other monstrous songs that showcase singer and lyricist M. Roth in top form.

Picking out individual songs is difficult anyway, as the two heads of the band, Roth/Yantit, have managed to line up hit after hit.

LP 2 maintains the high level and offers the five-part song cycle 'Ein Jahr im Leben des Todes' (A Year in the Life of Death). 'Herbstleiche' is one of the most atmospheric and dense songs in the entire history of EISREGEN.

'Grenzgänger' was recorded at the band's own HcN Studio by Yantit and mixed and mastered by longtime sound engineer Markus Stock at Klangschmiede Studio E in Mellrichstadt, giving the 17 songs a brutal yet differentiated sound.

In short, EISREGEN show themselves in absolute top form on 'Grenzgänger' - both musically and lyrically, and one can take the album title literally, as they have rarely been more diverse.
