Memento Mori (LP, fra Depeche Mode

Appears as a black double LP (180g, Side D etched, matte UV poster, trifold jacket, red foil debossed 'D' & 'M', poster).

'Memento Mori' is Depeche Mode's 15th studio album, while Gahan and Gore present the first long player as a duo following the tragic death of band co-founder Andrew 'Fletch' Fletcher in 2022.
Produced by James Ford with the support of Marta Salogni, 'Memento Mori' matured during the early stages of the global Covid pandemic, a period that also had a thematic influence on the songs.
The 12 album tracks bridge a variety of moods and musical textures - from the threatening opener to the resolution at the end, the emotional spectrum ranges from paranoia and obsession to mental liberation and joy, as well as countless emotional nuances.
The album release of 'Memento Mori' is preceded by the impressive precursor single 'Ghosts Again'.
The song is already nothing short of a pure Depeche Mode classic: Dave Gahan's powerful lyrics such as 'wasted feelings, broken meanings... a place to hide the tears we cry' combine with an uplifting, optimistic groove and a hypnotic guitar figure by Martin Gore.
'For me, 'Ghosts Again' captures the perfect balance between melancholy and joy,' says Gahan.
'It's not very often that we record a song that I can listen to over and over again - I'm also thrilled to be able to share it with the world,' adds Gore.
