Mercy Falls (CD, fra Seventh Wonder

New editions of the first four studio albums – “Become”, “Mercy Falls”, “The Great Escape” and “Waiting In The Wings” – by Swedish progressive metal masters Seventh Wonder have been out of print for a very long time. Seventh Wonder was founded in 2000 by bassist Andreas Blomqvist, guitarist Johan Liefvenfahl and drummer Johnny Sandin, and started on their journey of progressive metal. And when keyboard player Andreas “Kyrt” Söderin joined them, the line-up was complete. The first Seventh Wonder album “Become” was released in 2005. Singer Andi Kravljaca left the band shortly afterwards and was replaced by the brilliant Tommy Karevik (Kamelot, ex-Vindictiv) who joined the band in 2005. The next album, “Waiting In The Wings”, was recorded in 2006 and mixed by the legendary Tommy Hansen (Helloween, Pretty Maids, TNT etc.). This album was a great leap forward in terms of song complexity and maturity, and received excellent reviews. In 2007, they shared stages with legendary bands like Queensrÿche, Testament, Redemption and many others in England, Holland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark. The release of “Mercy Falls” followed in 2008 and was immediately hailed a masterpiece. In 2010, the band released “The Great Escape”, which was again acclaimed by both critics and fans alike, and cemented the band’s status as one of the leading progressive metal bands. During the tour, the band also performed at the ProgPower Festival in the US. All four reissues are now being released with new liner notes written by the band.
