"Something Wicked This Way Comes" is published as a 2016 re-issue on black double vinyl.
From a musical perspective, this masterpiece is absolutely equivalent to its predecessor "The Dark Sage", although the guys even added a few more details and variances. As usual, their music is still based on hard melodies as in "Burning Time", Disciples Of The Lie", "Stand Alone" or "My Own Savior" that almost burst because of their guitar clicks and cool hook lines. The success of the semi ballad "I Died For You" is always a highlight at the concerts, Jon Schaffer and co made a great impression because such similar songs are found aplenty on this fifth studio LP. "Watching Over Me", "Consequences" and the very closely related to their previous hit "Melancholy (Holy Martyr)" are just examples of the increasing melody focus by these Americans. Fortunately, they did not forget to add a few hard parts as well. Different but good can also be said about the relatively slow "Reaping Stone".
