On 15 April 2016 the American singer/guitarist Lita Ford will release her new album "Time Capsule", an extraordinary work that turns back the time to a period where 'down-to-earth' rock was still exclusively handmade without any digital tricks. "Time Capsule" is a retrospection with charismatic voices and brilliant musicians jamming together without a clear goal or economic pressure. Some of the luminous figures on the record: Billy Sheehan (bass), Rodger Carter (drums), Dave Navarro (mandolin), Jeff Scott Soto (vocals), Rick Nielsen and Robin Zandar (choir vocals) and Gene Simmons (bass). "In the bathroom on my former island home were tons of analogue 24-track-tapes", explains Lita. "There are some of the best songs I have ever recorded! I put everything in two suitcases and brought them back to America." You have to picture this: Lita Ford making her way from the picturesque Caribbean back to Los Angeles with two bulging suitcases full of analogue tapes. "If I had just put them in a tape machine they would have probably just crumbled down. I was chewing on my fingernails and hoped that nothing would go wrong. Fortunately, it worked!" "Time Capsule" features then energy-packed songs plus an intro. It is Lita Fords gift for all those, whose hearts beat for the 80's, when engaging vocal performances, boisterous riffs and snarling guitars were just as important as the air we breathe.
