Re-issue of the 2013 release featuring Melvins’ 1983 line-up of Buzz Osborne, Dale Crover and original drummer Mike Dillard.
‘‘Tres Cabrones’ is as close to Melvins’ 1983 line-up we can get,’ Osborne explained in 2013. ‘The best thing about it is that they are all new songs. I specifically wrote tracks that the guys could play well, and that worked out great. We weren’t interested in rehashing songs we wrote 30 years ago and instead decided to just write NEW ones. It worked out perfectly.’
‘Recording the Tres Cabrones album was a real pleasure. It’s a trip down memory lane, complete with debauchery and extreme violence,’ says Dillard, who left the band in 1984 and was replaced by Crover.
‘30 years later we are releasing a record with the band’s (almost) original line-up,’ adds Crover. ‘I always felt that drummer Mike Dillard was one of us. It’s great that he's still part of the puzzle! Plus, I can see what it’s like to be a bass player with Melvins! Tres Cabrones indeed!’
Available on vinyl for the first time with all new liner notes in a 7” x 7” booklet.
