Ghøstkid (CD, fra Ghøstkid
GHØSTKID's music dives deeply into darkness and aggression. It is repulsive and attractive at the same time, it is hard, but maintains an unmistakable sense for catchy melodies.
GHØSTKID is the new alter ego of Sebastian 'Sushi' Biesler (former Eskimo Callboy), who gathered a group of like-minded friends to realize this project: Steve Joakim (drums) from Sweden as well as Danny Güldener (guitar) and Stanislaw Czywil (bass), both of whom were active in To The Rats And Wolves. It all began when Sushi picked up a guitar in October 2019 and wrote his first song. At that moment, he realized that GHØSTKID is in his blood and needed a platform. 'I followed my heart right from the start with this thing,' explains Sushi. At that time, he was listening to Marilyn Manson, Fever 333, and Bring Me The Horizon, and this inspiration led to a groundbreaking, in the broadest sense, rock music that combines darkness, aggression, and punk attitude with pop affinity and influences from new metal, trap, industrial, and rock. After the foundation was laid with co-producer Phil Sunday, the self-titled debut album was produced by renowned producer Sky van Hoff (Rammstein, Emigrate, etc.). GHØSTKID received support from additional friends during the studio recordings: Marcus Bischoff from their labelmates Heaven Shall Burn is heard on 'SUPERNØVA' and Mille Petrozza on 'CRØWN'.
