LONELY KAMEL do sound like they come from the desert, but truly the band has its origins in Norway. And apparently also in fjords and endless forests one can produce great classic hard rock, that sounds perfectly robust and bone-dry. Also on their fourth album "Shit City" the Norwegians move between hard rock to seventies, stoner rock, blues, psychedelic and a shot of doom. "We just wanted to record the disc as simply and cheaply as possible" recently front man and guitar player Thomas Brenna was joking around, but in fact the plan was to record the rhythm sections live, to later on have more time for fine-tuning. The album has nine tracks, that have everything the genre has to offer: a rough punk title track, with a punk attitude, extensive jams and compact four minute running times. One thing is clear: LONELY KAMEL definitely belong to the top of the European retro rock scene.
